Photos: EFCC declares couple wanted over N1billion fraud

The public is hereby notified that Harry Agbenu Austin MD/CEO of Megarice Co-operative Society Nigeria Limited located at Glass Plaza, Block B1, FCDA Quarters, Kubwa, Abuja and his wife Mary Agbenu Austin, a director of Megarice, whose photographs appear above, are wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in connection with a case of criminal breach of trust, obtaining by false pretence and issuance of dud cheque to the tune of over one billion naira.

The couple allegedly used their company, Megarice, in operating a Cooperative society of over 400 members whose deposit amounted to over N800million. They were promised a ten percent monthly interest on their investments which never materialized. Also, the couple obtained a loan of a million naira from a new generation bank purportedly for importation and distribution of rice which they diverted for other purposes and also defaulted in repayment.

Dark complexioned Harry is 39 years old, and hails from Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue state. Mary, is 37 years old Gbagyi from Chukum LGA of Kaduna state. They speak Idoma, Gwari, English and Hausa language fluently.

Their last known address is No. 96 Road, House 14 Gwarimpa Estate, Abuja.

3 Women Killed As Customs Chased Bus Driver & his Passengers off highway (Graphic Photos)

Three ladies between the ages of 25 and 30 years died Thursday afternoon after the hummer bus in which they were travelling was knocked off the Lagos-Benin highway by an operational vehicle driven by operatives of the Nigerian Customs Service.

The commuter bus with registration number EDO AKA 35 LG carrying second hand clothes also known as okirika, somersaulted during a hot chase by Customs officials from the Federal Operations Unit, Zone A, Ikeja from one of their checkpoints in Ijebu Ode.

The driver of the bus allegedly refused to stop when flagged down at their checkpoint which resulted in the tragic chase.

According to the driver who was in severe pains, having lost one of his legs in the accident, when the Customs pick up van could not overtake him, it hit his bus at the rear which caused the vehicle to summersault several times into the bush at a place indigenes called J3.

On sensing that the bus had crashed into the bush, the Customs officials beat a hasty retreat to avoid being attacked by members of the public that immediately rushed to the scene of the accident.

Three women in the bus died on the spot and the other injured victims were brought out of the bus and were writhing in pains.

There was no policeman or road safety official on hand to assist them.

Until the time our correspondent, who was on his way to Port Harcourt, left the accident scene, the corpses of the three women and the victims were still lying there.

Some of the sympathisers at the scene lamented that some time ago; road safety officials had equally chased some passengers to their death in the same area.

They called on appropriate authorities to check the excesses of law enforcement officials on the road.

It will be recalled that just 3 days ago, At least two people were killed in a bloody clash between men of the Nigerian Customs service attached to Federal Operation Unit, FOU, and rice smugglers in Sango Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria.

It did not give us time to do the transplant because it was his two kidneys that failed. Assuming it was a normal kidney failure, it's supposed to be one kidney. My uncles were planning to come back to Nigeria and operate on him and do the transplant then he died on Sunday (Jan. 18th). Asked why Muna had high BP, the sister replied

"Anybody can have high BP because of stress. It doesn't mean family problem should prompt high BP, it comes with stress. He was taking his medicine but because he was always on set, in different locations, he didn't have much time to drink his medicine properly. 

Asked why Muna didn't let his colleagues know he was sick and needed help, the sister said

"Muna is from a home. He's a private person. That he didn't bring out what was wrong with him to the internet is because he's a man and my family was ready to operate on him. You don't have to come to internet and start telling people 'my kidney failed. I need money to help myself. No. At times some problems come to you and you know this is a problem that can be sorted by your family. Had it been we were stranded, then we can start calling people to come and help us. That Muna didn't tell people he was sick is because he's a private person. 

"I am going to say this to anyone who says Muna didn't open up that he was sick - I'm going to use this thing - Fuck them! Now that he's dead, those people that said assuming he'd said he was sick they would have helped, did they come to contribute to his burial? Did they come to check on the family? They did not! We tried to handle, but God knows best.

She angrily grabbed the doll and threw it into the street. Her boyfriend came up and said, "Why did you throw away the doll?" She answered and said, "It is because I don't like the present." 

He left and grabbed the doll, when all of a sudden a car ran over him,
and he died at the spot. On the day of the funeral, the girl, weeping, grabbed the doll and hugged it; when she squeezed it hard, she heard her boyfriend's recorded voice saying, "Will you marry me?" 

When she dropped the doll in her shock and grief, out of the doll's pocket fell two rings and a note which said, "Love what you have, before life teaches you to love what you lost..."

MORAL LESSON:
Appreciate and love what you have, and the very good people in your life - you never can tell what's in stall for you! You only know the value of what you have when you lose it....Be careful!!!

Would you ever dig up the remains of a deceased loved one to clean their corpse, repair their coffin, and dress them in new clothes? I probably wouldn't either, but that's exactly what they do every few years in Toraja in South Sulawesi, Indonesia.
I'm in awe of this people's dedication to their ancestors. Most people would be too upset or disgusted to be able to do such a thing, but these families show true love...even after death.

Every few years the people of Toraja in South Sulawesi, Indonesia, dig up the bodies of their deceased ancestors. They do it for a ritual called Ma'nene, or The Ceremony of Cleaning Corpses.

During the ceremony the dead are washed, groomed, and dressed in new clothes.

What makes this corpse cleaning ceremony possible is that the bodies are not buried in the ground. Rather they are placed in a cave or carved stone grave. This makes it easer for villagers to access the bodies of their loved ones when the time comes.
